Martin is Scientific Lead for reCET create.empower.transform. - a creative agency and sustainability consultancy with a focus on tourism and culture.
Martin specializes in sustainable tourism, sustainability standards, certifications and sustainability strategies in Germany and internationally. He has already implemented more than 50 different sustainability projects and has been a speaker and moderator at several hundred events and conferences.
He is involved as a board member of the European sustainability network ECOTRANS e.V., as an expert in consultation rounds of the EU Commission and at the World Tourism Organization. Martin has already set up various companies and initiatives, most recently the Sustainable Destinations Excellence Initiative.
In addition to his consulting activities, he successfully completed his doctorate on the subject of sustainability measurements in tourism and is a professor at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development.
